LATEST OUTSOURCED JOB AND HOMEBASED BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY: CAD GROUND

CADground.com is a place where draftsmen (CAD operators) and clients meet.

In this site, clients post their job requirements and draftsmen also post their profiles.

It has a 14 day trial membership and if you are satisfied, you may opt to continue being a member for a fee of $99 per year.

My only problem with this site is that it doesn't provide an escrow service. An escrow service makes the site a temporary repository of the client's money which is automatically transferred to the service provider (draftsman or CAD operator) upon completion of the job.

In CAD Ground, one thing that a draftsman can probably do to protect himself is to ask for a downpayment (from the client) before starting a project. For sizeable contracts, I would recommend that a "Progress Billing" system be implemented. Under "Progress Billing", the payment is broken down into several remittances depending on the projects percentage of completion.

Normally, a downpayment is collected before the start of the project and it is followed by another remittance upon the projects 50% completion. Another 30% payment is given after the service provider has delivered 90% of the work. The balance is paid after 100% of the work has been completed.

There are several variations of this scheme depending on the nature of the project. Should you need any help, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
